About the club

Welcome to the Cudgegong Valley Antique Machinery Club website.

The Cudgegong Valley Antique Machinery Club (CVAMC) was founded in 1996 by a group of local machinery enthusiasts keen to promote and enjoy all aspects of antique machinery and its restoration. The CVAMC has grown to over 70 members throughout NSW. The success of the club and steady increase of members has seen many local and regional events attended by a broad spectrum of club members.
The club has developed an annual exhibition at the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days beginning in 1998 when the event moved to its dedicated exhibition site at the Australian Rural Education Centre (AREC) just 2km from the Mudgee CBD. This has allowed us to demonstrate our members machinery and promote the club and machinery restoration to a huge audience annually. The Club now has its own sled for demonstrations and tractor pull events. Typically the event sees approximately 60 tractors, 3 steam engines, 40 stationary engines and 10 implements exhibited, which made a fantastic display for the public.

In April each year, we hold our Annual Swap Meet and Rally for the club. The swap meet is at AREC on the Ulan Road and provides an extremely popular event attracting people from near and far and includes a tractor pull, display and engine rally. Each year our club holds a tractor trek which has proven very popular for club members and visiting club members from Sydney and the surrounding districts. These events have grown from single day, small treks to challenging over nights camps consuming full weekends and distances of over 100kms travelled over the two days.

The Cudgegong Valley Antique Machinery Club has been affiliated with the NHMA since we formed the club and formalised our incorporation.

Old Machinery without a home?
If you have old machinery on your property, under the house or in the shed, that you no longer need, get in touch.
Our club and many others across Australia preserve our historical record through the preservation and active demonstration
of old machinery and the trades and crafts that they were employed in. Save a piece of history for future generations.

Mudgee Small Farm Field Days
Each year we demonstrate our preserved machinery, stationary engines and tractors at the Mudgee Small Farm Field Day event.
A great day out for all the family and a great field day to learn and see new technologies and products for everyone.
Come along and see our tractor pull demonstration, for more information see www.arec.com.au
